Veterans Day (2016) Military Discounts

One great thing about Veterans Day is the multitude of places giving out a free meal. Something small, yet good if you are planning on going out to eat that day anyway. But free food is not your only choice. You can also find free attractions and tickets as well!

We compiled a list below to help your search and spotlight some of the places you can find right here in Riverside! I have listed some of the more popular chain restaurants in the area along with links for proof about their discounts when I can find them. Lots of websites will list places but show little proof, I have provided links or confirmation for each place listed below.

Food

Applebee’s – Get a free meal from a selected menu on November 11, 2016

Olive Garden– “Spread the word – All veterans can enjoy a free entree this Friday in thanks for their service!”

El Torito- I reached out to them, they responded with “We will be offering a Veteran’s discount this year. Veterans can select one complimentary item from our Veterans Day menu on November 11th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Veterans and active-duty military will also receive a 20% discount the rest of the year.

BJ’s – “This Veterans Day, BJ’s Restaurants & Brewhouse invites all active-duty and retired military to stop in for a free meal as a “thank you” for their service. On Friday November 11, all veterans can enjoy a complimentary entree under $12.95 by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse nationwide. “

McDonald’s – “Veterans and active duty military have been committed to us; now it’s time to celebrate our men and women in uniform. This Veterans Day, McDonald’s of Southern California is honoring our troops with two classic food staples—fries and apple pie. On 11/11, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., active and retired military are invited to receive their choice of a medium-sized McDonald’s World Famous Fries® or Baked Apple Pie for free at participating Southern California locations.”

Chipotle – “Stop by Chipotle with your U.S. military ID on Friday, November 11th, from 3pm-close so you can receive A BUY-ONE/GET-ONE FREE BURRITO, BOWL, SALAD OR ORDER OF TACOS as a small (foil-wrapped) token of thanks for your service.”

Buffalo Wild Wings – “Wings for Heroes”

Famous Dave’s– “On November 11, 2016 in honor of Veteran’s Day all former and current Military personnel will receive a FREE Two Meat Combo

Hooters – “This Veterans Day, Hooters invites all active-duty and retired military to stop in for a free meal as a “thank you” for their service. On Friday, November 11, all veterans can enjoy a free entrée from the Hooters. Veterans Day Menu by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location nationwide. “

California Pizza Kitchen – “This Veterans Day, California Pizza Kitchen honors the bravery and commitment of the men and
women serving our country, both past and present, by inviting them to be our guests and enjoy a
complimentary meal during this national holiday,” said G.J. Hart, executive chairman and CEO of
California Pizza Kitchen. “We are grateful for your service and thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for your selflessness and dedication to our country. We look forward to serving you.”

IHOP– “On Friday, November 11 Veterans and Active Duty Military can enjoy three of IHOP restaurant’s hot-off-the-griddle, world famous Buttermilk Pancakes with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping for free at participating U.S. locations between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Select IHOP restaurants will also offer a combo of two eggs, hash browns and choice of two bacon strips or pork sausage links as part of the Red, White & Blue Pancake promotion for retired and active duty military personnel. Guests should check with their local IHOP restaurant for additional details.”

Denny’s– “To thank the nation’s heroes for their courageous service and dedication, Denny’s is inviting active, inactive and retired military personnel to stop by for a free Build Your Own Grand Slam® on Friday, Nov. 11, from 5 a.m. to noon.

Farmer Boys – ” Visit Farmer Boys with your valid military ID on Friday, November 11, and receive a free Big Cheese® burger. It’s our way of saying thanks to the brave men and women in uniform.

Offer valid for veterans and active duty military, cannot be combined with any other coupons, discounts, or advertised specials. Limit 1 per guest with valid military ID. This promotion is not valid in the drive-thru.”

Red Robin – “We’d like to thank all Veterans and Active Duty military members for their service this Veterans Day with a FREE* Red’s Tavern Double® Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries®. No purchase is necessary. Just show us some proof of service and enjoy your meal with us.”

Yard House – “Let us serve you this Veterans day!”

Chili’s – “Let us serve you on Veterans Day. All US Veterans and Active Duty Personnel can enjoy a meal on us all day 11/11.”
